SCGO Board

The Seminole Club® of Greater Orlando board meetings are normally held once a month and are open to members and fans and friends of FSU. [see Calendar for dates/locations]

All FSU Alumni, Seminole Boosters' members, and fans & friends of Florida State University are automatically eligible to participate in a Seminole Club®.

Only current dues-paying members of the FSU Alumni Association or Seminoles Boosters are considered voting members.

All Seminole Club Board of Directors must be current, dues-paying members of the Florida State University Alumni Association.

Officers shall be elected for a term of one (1) year.

Immediate family members (spouses, partners, parents, children, siblings) cannot serve as officers during the same term (unless approval is granted by the FSUAA President due to extenuating circumstances).

All positions on the board of any Seminole Club®, including all officers and all general board members, are volunteer positions. Officers and general board members cannot be compensated in any manner for any services provided to the club.

The Florida State Alumni Association National Board of Directors has the authority to vote for the dissolution of a Seminole Club® in the event of illegal or improper activity conducted by the club's governing board.

Shont'a J. McCord - President

Presides at all meetings of the club. The president appoints the standing committees and special committees, and exercises the powers generally associated with the president of a Seminole Club®. The president shall be the official representative of the club on all occasions except when otherwise designated.

Shont’a is originally from Opa-Locka, and graduated from FSU in 2006 with a Bachelor’s in English Literature and a minor in Communications. She moved to Central Florida in 2010 to complete her Juris Doctor degree from the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law at Barry University. Outside of her work in the legal field and passion for philanthropic service, Shont’a enjoys golfing and cooking!

Kenneth Swift II - Vice President/ President Elect  vicepresident@orlandonoles.org

Takes on the responsibilities of the president in the event of the president’s absence. The vice president works with other officers and committee members, is an ex-officio member of all committees, and carries out such duties and assignments as may be delegated by the president.

Kenneth Swift II is an Orlando native and graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance and B.A. in Music - Liberal Arts. While at FSU, Kenneth was heavily involved in Student Government Association, FSU College of Music, and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Currently, Kenneth is a financial advisor with Equitable and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) professional designation. In his spare time, Kenneth enjoys staying active, traveling, watching sports, and live concerts. 

Misha Paul - Secretary

Serves as the secretary to the governing body of the club and compiles the official minutes of each meeting hosted by the club. The secretary tracks and records 10 participation and attendance information and forwards board meeting minutes and materials to the FSU Alumni Association. The secretary also shall conduct the correspondence of the club, including overseeing the coordination of newsletters and other mailings.

Misha graduated from FSU in 2005 with a BS in psychology, minoring in child development. While on campus, she was an active member in the Black Student Union, Elite Modeling Troupe, and the Caribbean Students Association. Misha was honored in the Orlando Business Journal class of 2022 '40 Under 40'.  Fun fact: Misha took karate for 10 years and earned her black belt before graduating high school!

Dr. Keita Joy - Networking Chair

Success maximizer, motivational teacher, and CEO of Success Uncensored® Coaching. Dr. Keita Joy graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. In addition, she has a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.

Michael P. Kaney, Esq. - Community Service Chair

Develop and conduct community service events, including required Service Day event. Present plans to SCGO board, lead activities in coordination with site management, and coordinate/buy materials for each site as needed.

Michael graduated from FSU in 2014 with a B.S. in Political Science and International Affairs, and then again in 2018 with his Juris Doctorate (J.D.). Michael is an Ormond Beach native, but has called Orlando home since 2018 where he is an attorney with the Nashville based law firm of Baker Donelson. Michael is also a founding board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida’s – “Club Blue.

John Agudelo

Game Watching Host - info@orlandonoles.org

The SCGO hosts a game watching event during the football season (Sep-Dec) for each scheduled FSU game, including post season. A game watching host coordinates with site management, hosts the event, provides social engagement for new-to-the-area guests, sets up/sells merchandise, and encourages guests to join FSUAA and/or Boosters.

John Agudelo is from Naples, Florida and graduated from Florida State University with a B.S. in Finance and Real Estate (2018) and M.S. in Finance with a Real Estate Specialization (2020). While at FSU, John was involved in Student Government Association and Chi Phi Fraternity. Currently, John is a Development Associate with Mill Creek Residential Trust LLC. In his spare time, John enjoys exercising, playing and watching sports, traveling, and going to concerts.

Ensure social media is timely and relevant.  Work with all SCGO chairs for consistency in message, encourage members with fun information about SCGO and FSU, update event information on social media.

Provide webmaster and related services to promote timely communication to SCGO club members.  Verify website data accuracy with SCGO Secretary on a regular basis, document detailed website maintenance process, and understand/meet deadlines for timely communication to SCGO members.
